The process has been mapped out and works on a basis of keeping it simple and measureable at all times.  You will work in steps.  This way you know exactly where you are.  

Stage 1 - Pre- Qualification

Step 1:   We will go through the Consulting Questionnaire that you have been asked to complete. This will ensure that the investment of time in your Discovery meeting benefits both of us.  We can also gauge if you are in the right place to pursue the Consulting option.

Step 2: The Discovery meeting is about digging a little deeper into your current reality and finding out if we are a good match.  Like all things in life, we will not get a successful outcome if we are not aligned.

Step 3: The outcome of the Discovery meeting will either result in a quote and a contract being signed, or helping you find a solution that is a better fit.

Stage 2 - Consulting Process

Step 1:   Audit & Alignment: A deep dive into your business followed by a 3-day alignment session. Sign up for Profit Pulse SaaS.

Step 2:  Contract Activation: Follow a work plan, and tackle single-topic sessions until the framework is fully adopted.

Step 3:  Measure results:  Establish K.P.I.'s and key metrics to enable agile response and drive continuous innovation.

Stage 3 - Post-Engagement Period

Step 1:  Strategic Adjustments: Refining strategies and action plans based on market trends, business performance, or evolving goals.

Step 2:  Advanced Training or Workshops: Providing specialized training for teams to deepen their understanding of the framework [or parts thereof] and enhance execution.

Step 3:  Advisory Role: Working together to provide ongoing guidance as a trusted advisor to maintain momentum and ensure the business remains on track for success.

When clients ask about the duration of a consultant’s involvement, we emphasize that the process of introducing and embedding the framework typically spans a period of six months. This timeframe is based on an active and engaged client partnership where the recommended actions and strategies are consistently implemented.

However, it’s important to recognize that the pace of progress is not solely within our control.  It is influenced heavily by the client’s willingness and ability to adapt to the change and execute the work. If clients fully commit to the process, the six-month timeline is both realistic and achievable. If engagement or implementation is delayed on their side, the process will naturally extend beyond the expected time frame.

To ensure clarity and accountability, we address this dynamic in two key ways:

1. Contractual Reference:
   The contract explicitly outlines the roles and responsibilities of both parties, including the client’s active participation in implementing the framework. This ensures a shared understanding of expectations from the outset.

2. Monthly Progress Reports:
   We provide detailed monthly reports to track progress, highlight completed milestones, and address any areas where delays may be occurring. These reports serve as a transparent tool for assessing alignment with the agreed timeline and making necessary adjustments.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with clients to ensure success, balancing structured guidance with flexibility. By maintaining open communication and a shared commitment to the process, we strive to deliver meaningful change within the intended time frame while adapting to the client’s unique pace and circumstances.

Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, you will have the same consultant leading your engagement throughout the contract. This ensures continuity, a deep understanding of your business, and a consistent approach to achieving your goals. However, your consultant will also have access to additional expertise within our network.

If a specific challenge arises that would benefit from specialized input, your consultant may recommend introducing a topic expert. This would only happen with your permission and in alignment with your business needs for example: Marketing. Whilst The Optimisation Team is not a marketing agency, we collaborate with trusted partners, including marketing agencies familiar with our framework. These partners can provide tailored solutions during or after your contract to ensure ongoing support and success.  The same kind of approach would be applicable with a Finance specialist, or a Logistics specialist - you get the idea.

Business is fundamentally a human-to-human sport, and understanding that habits drive behavior is key to navigating change.

The reality is, what you're currently doing has created a glass ceiling that limits growth, and breaking through that ceiling requires change—whether small adjustments or potentially larger shifts. Our experience shows that during the change process, around week 6, there is often a dip where progress feels stagnant or even like it’s going backward. This is typically when teams start to experience resistance and feel frustrated, often saying, "We feel like we're going backwards." However, this is a natural part of the change journey.

At some point, often unexpectedly, there is a small but meaningful win, which reignites belief and momentum within the team. By weeks 8 to 10, progress begins to build, and the team starts to see the tangible results of the work they've put in.
